AthleteShare

giving student athletes a platform to inspire and uplift others by sharing their faith in Christ

About our founder

AthleteShare was founded by David MacLeod, a junior at the University of Alabama. Raised in a Christian home that loved Alabama football, David’s path to Tuscaloosa felt almost inevitable. Originally from Northern Virginia, he developed a love for sports early on, playing baseball through high school.

In the summer of 2024, one question weighed heavily on his heart: How can I use my time in college to impact the Kingdom of God? That question sparked the idea for AthleteShare — a platform designed to help Christian athletes boldly share their faith in Christ.

David is majoring in finance with a minor in sales and is an active member of the Alpha Rho chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity. He’s also worked with the University of Alabama Athletics Department, supporting both NCAA baseball and softball.

Driven by his passion for Jesus, college athletics, and entrepreneurship, David launched AthleteShare to give faith a voice in the world of sports.

Our logo’s Story

AthleteShare’s logo is a visually simple, yet sleek design that points towards the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.

The nail that pierces through the center of the logo represents the nails that pierced Jesus’ hands during the crucifixion, as detailed in John 20:25.

The color scheme is an homage to both the University of Alabama’s main color being red, as well as a representation of the blood shed by our Lord and Savior on our behalf.
